REMEMBER, YOU ARE ENOUGHHello, Gorgeous! Yes, you! I want you to take a moment to turn off any distractions. I want you to enter this space fully present. Maybe you want to make yourself a cup of tea and get comfy because I’ve got something special for you today. Today is all about permission. You’re probably thinking, permission for what? Hold on, we’ll get there. . .

But first, think about something for a minute for me.

+ When was the last time you were told that you were beautiful?

+ When was the last time you actually believed it?

+ Deep down, do you truly believe you’re beautiful?

For a lot of us, these are difficult questions to sit with. Why?

// Because it’s stinkin’ hard for women to feel beautiful and worthy in a society that values her facial features over her character.

// A world that esteems the size of her waist above the size of her heart.

// A culture that idolizes celebrity, lusts after money and glorifies weight loss like it’s the only mark of success.

Maybe you’ve bought into the lie: This lie that you’re not good enough. Hey, you’re not to blame. It’s illusive and cunning.

But, there is a deeper, purer truth that has been hidden away.

Wait, you’re more than enough. You’re freakin’ beautiful! And I don’t mean your silky hair or your adorable nose or your radiant smile (yes, those parts of you are gorgeous, too). I mean you—the essence of your being—are undeniably BEAUTIFUL!

Claim this truth. Right now! Say it aloud, “I am enough.” “I am beautiful.” C’mon, don’t be shy.

It’s time to stop worrying about what other people think about you.

It’s time to let go of anyone else’s expectations of you.

It’s time to shift the nasty internal belief that tells you “I’m not good enough.

Because, darling, you were created for great things!

When these false beliefs of “I’m not good enough” creep in, they take us hostage. They strangle our potential and suffocate our creativity. If they hang around long enough, we lose touch with our true selves.

Ahem, I’ll attest to this! You can read more of my story here.

But, when we relax and accept ourselves for who we truly are, magic happens.

+ People start to feel better being around us because we no longer live from a place of shame.

+ Our relationships {with others and ourselves} improve. As we relax and become comfortable in our own skin, others relax around us.

+ We rediscover our passion and purpose because we are no longer making decisions based on other people’s expectations of us.

+ Our true beauty has the freedom to shine through since we’re no longer struggling to be someone we’re not.

So, today, give yourself permission to be who you are.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised that, when you do, you’ll uncover that who you are has always been good enough.

And that, my friend, is real beauty.

// YOUR TURN: I wanna hear from you! In the comments below, tell me one action step you will take toward believing that who I am is good enough.

Lots of love,
