Chocolate Almond Bliss Bites

Oh, do I have an amazing treat for you today! Introducing my Chocolate Almond Bliss Bites. These little gems are creamy, chewy, and chocolaty. Not only are they delicious, but they are chock-full of nature’s goodness. Containing only 4 ingredients, my bliss bites are raw, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free.

The recipe is super easy to follow and can be whipped up in no time. The only problem you’ll face is putting them down once you take your first bite. The addicting, smooth texture combined with that sweet, chocolate-coconuty flavor make these hard to pass up. Plus, you know you’re fueling your body with healthy ingredients that make your insides feel good and your outside glow!

Let’s first take a closer look at the 4 ingredients:

  • Medjool dates

    Dates are packed with many essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs. They are a fantastic source of dietary fiber, which keeps your digestive track healthy. Dates are also an excellent source of iron and potassium. They have a naturally sweet, rich flavor that satisfies your sweet tooth and provides you with substantial energy.

  • Almonds

    These heart-heathy nuts benefit your body in countless ways. Almonds contribute to healthy brain function and a sustained nervous system. They reduce the risk of heart attack, lower LDL cholesterol and help build strong bones and teeth. Almonds help alkalinize the body and reduce inflammation.

  • Coconut oil

    It seems everyone is talking about coconut oil these days. It’s no wonder why! Coconut oil has multiple health benefits for your body, hair and skin. Coconut oil contains a high level of saturated fat, but recent studies show that the saturated fat is not of the same make-up as meat or dairy. Coconut oil improves blood cholesterol levels, boosts your metabolism and eases digestion. It supports a healthy immune system and can stop sugar cravings.

  • Cacao powder

    Pure, raw cacao powder contains all the good benefits of dark chocolate without the added sugar and processed ingredients. In ancient times, cacao powder was considered a form of trading currency and highly valued for its amazing health qualities. It is full of powerful antioxidants that destroy free radicals in your body that can lead to disease. Cacao powder is also a great mood enhancer when consumed. dates and almonds

Makes 20 bliss bites

-2 cup medjool dates, pitted and chopped

-1 cup raw almonds

-1/4 cup raw cacao powder

-3 tablespoons melted coconut oil

  1. Place chopped dates and almonds in a food processor. Process on high until crumbed, about 30 seconds.
  2. Slowly add the melted coconut oil. The mixture will start to form together.
  3. Add the cacao powder and continue to process until fully combined, about 3-5 minutes. The mixture will form into a sticky dough.
  4. Line a metal baking sheet with baking paper.
  5. Roll 1 Tablespoon portions of dough into balls and place on baking paper {you can roll them in desiccated coconut to coat, if desired}.
  6. Place bliss balls in freezer for about 10 minutes to harden.
  7. Store in fridge in an airtight container.
