APRIL MARIPOSA MUST-HAVES

April 3, 2014

Mariposa Must-Haves

Something about a new month gets me excited! Maybe it’s the ‘fresh start’ feel or turning the page in my calendar, but beginning a new month always brings about a new set of possibilities. To top it off, April is one of my favorite months out of the year. Craig and I got married on April 18, 2009, and celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary this month. We have planned a romantic getaway to Esperance, Western Australia to celebrate in style. This little town boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, maybe even the world!

So, to kick off this month in style, here are 3 of my must-haves for April.

  • LUSH Mask of Magniminty

This deep-cleansing mask has finally ended my search for the perfect purifying facial mask. The Mask of Magniminty contains ethically sourced ingredients, such as China clay, peppermint, aduki beans, vanilla and honey. Not only does it unclog your pores, but it also exfoliates dry skin, calms redness and soothes. The best thing about this mask is the smell. I have to keep myself from taste-testing each time I use it. The minty aroma and tingly feeling make this self-care ritual quite the treat! I use the mask once a week to keep my skin looking and feeling fresh. It really is the “ultimate face mask!”

LUSH is a cosmetic range of hand-made products for face, hair, and body. They carry soaps, masks, scrubs, shampoos, moisturizers and make-up. Definitely check out their bestselling Bath Bombs!

If a LUSH store is not located near you, products can be ordered from their website. (11.1 oz/315g $24.95)

  •  #ProjectGenerosity

This social media hashtag with purpose was birthed by the fabulous Tara Bliss from Such Different Skies. Seriously, this girl is magnetic. Her energy and aura exude such passion and authenticity. I’ve been following her blog for several months and I’d highly recommend you check her site out. Good vibes all around.

#ProjectGenerosity is all about giving more of who you are to the world. Open your heart and abundantly give your presence, love, compassion, patience, and joy. Sometimes the simplest of gestures have the biggest impact on others. And as Tara points out, giving feels awesome! So, jump on board and join #ProjectGenerosity with me. Let’s be intentional this month about giving of ourselves to others. Don’t forget to hashtag #ProjectGenerosity on Instagram and Twitter to share!

  • Why It’s Perfectly Acceptable to Eat Dessert for Breakfast. Raw dessert recipe book by Nicole Joy

A few weeks ago, I attended an all-day workshop called Feed Your Soul hosted by the inspiring Ashy Bines and Nicole Joy. The theme of the event was identifying your story and doing more of what you love. Other topics included mindfulness, relationships, nutrition and positive body image.

A highlight of the day was the raw food demonstration with Nicole. She made {and I tasted!} several yummy desserts that can be found in her recent book, Why It’s Perfectly Acceptable to Eat Dessert for Breakfast. It includes over 40 raw dessert recipes, all gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free. There are even some nut-free options. Nicole has also interwoven beautiful inspirational quotes and motivational thoughts throughout the book.

You can order her raw dessert cookbook from her website, Nicole Joy Inspire. *Australia wide shipping only, but PDF download option available worldwide.

Remember, this month is full of potential. You can create a life you love one moment at a time.

Question: How are you going to generously give of yourself this month? Share in the comments below!

Lots of love,
